Carnival Magazine talks to Attila Udvadi, incredibly talented portrait and fashion photographer from Budapest, Hungary. We talk inspiration, process and concept...
Tell us about yourself.
I am 29 years old and I live and work in Budapest. My hobbies are basketball and watching movies. I like going out with friends and meeting people.
Did you study photography or a related course?
I studied photography from 2007 to 2009 at a technical school in Budapest. After finishing, I spent 4 years working as an assistant of one of Hungary's top fashion photographer’s, Almási J. Csaba. This period really defined my career because that was the time I begun to realize the beauty and possibilities of this profession and so I fell in love with it.
Tell us about your work.
I work as a freelance photographer and I am particularly specialised in fashion photography and I do all the required retouching myself. I put a lot of emphasis on the quality of the work that my selected crew performs during the preparations and the photo shoot too. We mutually inspire each other. When I come up with a concept, first I think it through and break it down to the last detail. We discuss even the smallest segment thoroughly before we start shooting the actual picture.
What do you love about photography?
What I love about photography is the act itself of creating something and the inspiration the final product can convey to one's life. Doing such a thing invigorates me and gives meaning to each day of my life.
Which photographers inspire your practice?
For me, inspiration can derive from anything that captures my attention or move me emotionally.
